Personal Data Purging Policy

Lexsure take seriously the responsibility of storing personal data, and make efforts to minimize the processing of the data of underlying law-firm clients. We seek to only collect the most necessary data and purge this data as reasonably possible.

Note that the only personally identifying data currently collected is the client's name(s).

For e-ROT we have an option not to store the client's name(s).

We implement the following purging policies:

  1. Personally identifying data is purged from cases created more than 3 years ago. Additionally,
  2. Cases closed and aborted more than 6 months ago are purged of personally identifying data, and
  3. e-ROT cases whose last document generation occurred more than 6 months ago are purged of personally identifying data.

At the request of the law firm we can extend the data purged to include the address of the property thus providing a more comprehensive cleansing of the data.

In these circumstances there would be no personal data remaining on Lexsure's system, and the only way to search for a case would be to use the firm's file reference.
